BRAND-NEW BRUNSWICK– SOBA New Jersey desires to link 2 structures on Duke Street to expand its drug and alcohol rehab program.
The proposition to link the structures at 23 and 33 Duke St., which would double the facility’s number of beds, is arranged to be heard by the city Preparation Board at 7 p.m. Dec. 12.
SOBA New Jersey is a 20-bed facility at Duke and Courtlandt streets certified by the state for 8 beds for detoxing patients and 12 beds for substance abuse rehab patients.
The facility provides 24-hour care by staff who work in shifts and do not live at the facility.
The proposition would expand the facility to 40 beds– 25 for detoxing patients and 15 for residential patients.
