NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (WAVY)– An addiction treatment center is opening a second location in Newport News.

Peak Treatment Centers provides budget friendly treatment for people having a hard timewith substance use disorders Its second, American Addiction Treatment Center Newport News at 606 Denbigh Boulevard, Suite 400, is set to use a partial hospitalization program (PHP) for community members having a hard time with alcohol and/or drug addiction

In a PHP, patients go through structured intensive group therapy 5 days each week, 5 hours each day, to comprehend their addiction, process their experiences, discover coping skills, and improve their total performance.

Peak’s very first location in Newport News, situated at 12695 McManus Blvd, Structure 2, is an outpatient
opioid addiction treatment center which provides medication-assisted treatment (MAT)– consisting of methadone, buprenorphine (Suboxone) and therapy services.
