JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) – The mom and child duo who pleaded guilty to federal and state charges in connection with the biggest well-being embezzlement plan in Mississippi history will serve no greater than 10 and 5 years behind bars respectively.
Tuesday, Judge Peterson accepted the News’ pleas of guilty and postponed sentencing.
Nancy New will serve no greater than ten years behind bars and 3 years of monitored release, while Zach New will serve no greater than 5 years in jail and 3 years of monitored release, according to federal files.

State sentencing in the case will be arranged after the 2 are sentenced in federal court.
